Sandile Mthoko

My name is Sandile Mthembu and I’m a designer and illustrator, Working as a designer for the past 8 years has taught me that no matter what you work on, each project is different and unique in its own way. The clients, the audience, and the design combine to create a relationship between the user and the brand. As a designer, I enjoy influencing that relationship with my strong design skills, aesthetic clarity, and understanding of marketing principles.

By working on a range of projects this has helped me to gain a deeper understanding of each aspect that is needed for graphic design. This has given me the skills needed to work in this environment including having an in-depth knowledge in areas such as branding, typography, layout adjustment, and digital design management of the complete design process, from conceptualization to delivery. Expert at interdepartmental coordination and communication.Skilled with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects), Microsoft Office Suite, and web design applications.

My main source of inspiration is from continually being aware of what graphically presents itself around me. Just like the skill of sketching, it is the continual looking and practice that makes a designer good. Using google, art magazines, and the graphics that surround us everywhere for inspiration. I am continually inspired by the creativity of everything around me.
