I am a mature, diligent, ambitious and hard-working individual and aspire to be excellent in all my endeavors. My passion for biological sciences, microbiology and molecular techniques has allowed me to excel as an intern medical scientist. I am a quick learner, persistent, and always determined to achieve results.

I enjoy administrative challenges and finding more efficient and improved methods of organization. I take pride in my work and consider that being a perfectionist is one of my greatest strengths. My organization and planning skills, and willingness to get any job done, makes me a highly dependable individual.

I believe that being a scientist is a lifelong career that teaches you every day.

• Actively involved in the national laboratory-based surveillance and outbreak detection for priority enteric bacterial pathogens (Listeria, Salmonella, Campylobacter, Vibrio cholerae and E. coli) from human clinical isolates at the Centre for Enteric Diseases, South Africa.
