I am a highly dedicated educator with a B.Ed degree and 16 years' experience
I am currently a Grade 1 teacher in Mossel Bay, South Africa. We have large classes and this experience has allowed me to acquire multiple abilities. I am a detailed oriented individual. My on-the-job experience has enabled me to develop a well-rounded skill set, including first rate conflict resolution and problem solving abilities.
Creating a safe, child friendly environment that is conductive to learning to take place on different functioning levels is very important to me, thus I make it my priority.
I am passionate about education. I am an impact focused and loyal person whom value my ability to make a positive impact with the skills I have. Dedication describes me best. I value the attributes of honesty, trust, compassion and also the value of traditions and cultures of each individuals’ heritage. I believe that every teacher improve in their effectiveness as they gain experience in the teaching profession, especially on student outcomes.
A few of my achievements I am especially proud of: One of my best personal experiences is when I turned a difficult student into a dedicated pupil. I was able to help change a student with major behavioral issues into a learning success. I am the first teacher to successfully launch Xhosa as a Second Additional Language.
Piloting a successful vegetable garden in collaboration with learners. The launch of an Anti-Bullying Project as well as a Autism Awareness project for which our school won a prize.
I believe that every teacher improve in their effectiveness as they gain experience in the teaching profession, especially on student outcomes. I am certain that I would make a valuable addition to your organization.
