o Manage teams and their requirements to fulfil their daily tasks/functions. Tools,material. etc. o Manage teams to take responsibility and accountability for their network. o Responsible for the execution of the network build, link delivery and ensuring that daily targets are set and delivered o Network build is built to a set standard and adhered to o Fibre Allocations(SIs) are compiled and submitted for approval before network deployment o Random spot checks to ensure quality is maintained. Joints are properly installed and sealed.
Node room conditions. o Sis/FAC and baseline drawings (BL1) are issued to relevant Network owners/Contractors o Amend and track any changes on the network build, FACs are to be updated daily o Providing forecast go live dates for areas and access builds o Ensure the links for access builds are built within spec, splitter size allocated and levels recorded o As builds are compiled and updated, OLT, PON port and Fibre fab splitter allocation sheet o Responsible for ensuring that repairs are done within our Service Level Agreement (SLA) o Resolve all breaks within our Service Level Agreement (SLA) o Report on any delays or challenges out in the field or the project o Maintain and manage the maintenance process on a daily basis (cleaning of HHs, slack management, labelling of route, core extension and access cables) o Node Room maintenance housekeeping, efficient use of equipment, split ratios and PON port allocations) o Identify weak spots and breaks on the network that are high risk o Remedy/ rectify cutting over cables or joints o Maintain shortest timeline between temporary and permanent repairs. Use shortest time to reconnect clients (on major breaks). o Gather and provide all info of problematic areas/HHs/Node rooms when requesting downtime for a building or for major cutovers, request with the relevant information to be provided at least 48hrs before maintenance takes place o Maintain a good relationship with the NOC/Support o Liaise closely with the Route Planner and Management with regards to network rollout o Oversee the daily H&S that the staff are adhering to the H&S requirements. PPE is worn, open HHs are barricaded and not left open and unattended o Work alongside Preventative Maintenance Manager to allocate resources to scheduled maintenance o Assist Network Planner when Network rollout is under way o Perform any other work related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by management o Planning effectively in order to build and connect as many clients on a daily basis within an area or all area
