I am Shumani Ndou, a registered Candidate Environmental Assessment Practitioner (2022/4583) with the Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa (EAPASA). I hold a four (4) year degree in Bachelor of Environmental Management.
I did a short course which provided me with knowledge and understanding on how Environmental Monitoring and auditing are conducted, how to interpret Environmental Legal framework and Legislations, processes to be followed to acquires Environmental Licensing and registrations including but not limited to, Air Emission License, Waste License, Water Use License, Section 24 G Applications and Environmental Authorization. As well as a short course on Customized Field Data Collection and Management Using ArcGIS.
I am a self-starter, honest, diligent and an integrity driven person who is not provincial bound. I believe this opportunity will provide me with more practical experience and more understanding on Environmental Monitoring, Auditing and inspections. I am provided with ample opportunities to learn and grow.
In my fourth year, I wrote a mini dissertation focusing on water quality and to be more precise my research topic was to investigate the effects of Makhado Wastewater treatment plant on Water quality of Litshovhu River. My responsibilities in the research project were to write a research proposal, drafting of literature review, water sample (collection, handling, storage and analysis), data collection and interpretation and coming up with recommendations.
