• Monitor vital signs and keep records
• Maintain high ethical standards and good moral values
• Monitor intake and output and record
• Make use of Ethical Behaviour to patient and staff members
• Ensure environmental and personal hygiene of patients

• Report any signs of complications to the senior nurse

• Receiving: checking patients name in the consent form and for risk of incorrect procedure
• Circulating by helping scrub nurse in setting an operating room
• Anaesthetist by helping anaesthetist doctor during general anaesthesia, local and sedation
• Recovery by making sure the patient is fully awake before taken to the ward
• Check autoclave for suitable temperature for good use by biodick test
• Ordering of surgical instruments
• Ensuring packs are sterile using steam indicator tape
• Ordering of stock in pharmacy
• Keeping all records for each and every test
