I hold an N6 in Mechanical Engineering, an N3 in Diesel Mechanics, and I am a Hydraulic Technician with 18 years of work experience in mechanical maintenance, hydraulic systems, and industrial machinery. My career has equipped me with deep expertise in installing, repairing, and maintaining heavy mechanical and hydraulic equipment, including power packs, pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and complex fluid power systems. I am skilled in interpreting technical schematics, conducting fault diagnosis, and executing precision repairs to minimise downtime and enhance operational efficiency.

My experience spans diverse industries including manufacturing, mining, and energy sectors, where I have been responsible for servicing induction furnaces, conveyor systems, and pneumatic installations. I have also contributed to major plant shutdowns and commissioning projects, ensuring all hydraulic systems meet performance, safety, and compliance standards. With a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and a focus on hydraulics, I bring a solution-oriented mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Conduct regular plant inspections to ensure mechanical and hydraulic systems are operating effectively
• Perform detailed fault finding on mechanical systems, followed by component repairs to restore functionality
• Assemble hydraulic hoses and bend and fit steel tubing to support efficient hydraulic and pneumatic operations
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime
• Maintain oil separators and ensure greasing systems are consistently topped up and working properly
