My background in the arts and my experience as a Sales Associate at ARTEC Gallery have equipped me with the skills and passion necessary to excel in this role. Reflecting on my journey, I've always been drawn to the Arts Industry. This passion for creativity and business was ignited during my formative years when I stumbled upon a Pop Art Movement Documentary, The insight into Pop Art, the opulence of the art world, and the influential figures in the shadows like Leo Castelli and Larry Gagosian captivated my imagination.
This early fascination sparked my interest in the art business.
My journey took a more tangible form when I joined ARTEC Gallery as an intern, where I immersed myself in the art world. The gallery became my second home, and I eagerly embraced tasks, from reception duties to event coordination. My transition to Events Coordinator saw the introduction of innovative strategies to engage the 19-24 age group, such as 'After Dark Events' and art classes with a touch of wine.
When the gallery reopened in 2022, the global pandemic had reshaped the landscape. As a Sales Associate, I adapted to new challenges, gaining insights into the intricate art sales process. I excelled in client negotiation, art acquisition, and building strong artist relationships.
My ability to provide art expertise, personalised recommendations, and guidance significantly elevated client satisfaction and retention. During my tenure, I consistently exceeded sales targets, leading to substantial revenue growth. I effectively managed sales transactions, stayed informed about art market trends, and adapted sales strategies to market fluctuations.
