I have six years of experience. I am qualified and registered with HPCSA.
During my profession I am able to prepare patients to undergo dental procedures and assist with sterilization of instruments, setup instruments and preparing materials.
Expose dental diagnostic xray ( Ceph, panoramic, intra-oral) in accordance with all guidelines to ensure patients safety.
Monitor dental supplies, equipment inventory and make orders.
Schedule appointments, prepare bills and invoices, receiving payments and also doing estimates for dental procedures by using GoodX software.
Made preliminary impressions for mounting study casts and mastered pouring, trimming and polishing study casts.
Fabricated and fit Orthodontic appliance for patients including retainers (thermoform).
Working with periodontist, I been exposed to procedures such as putting implants, bone graft, gingivactomy,
frenectomy and alot.
In general dentistry I have been doing procedures such as root canal, crown, bridges! Fillings, post-core filling,
whitening, mouth guards, endo whitening,extractions.
Durban University of Technology. I received my dental assistant certificate.
