I am Siyabulela Tom, (3rd year Social Sciences and Humanities student at University of Fort Hare) and I am writing to express my sincere interest in the position of Store and Sales Assistant. My strong communication skills coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving have enabled me to effectively contribute to team goals and exceed sales targets consistently and i am fluent in both isiXhosa and English, i also took africans from grade one to matric so i have a strong understanding of the language as well. I am highly adaptable and willing to learn, making me an asset to any dynamic retail setting. I have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards work, which has helped me to consistently exceed expectations.

I worked as a waiter and bartender at a restaurant from 2014 to 2016, then pursued a diploma in IT which I left after the second level due to financial difficulties. I then worked as a cashier and customer service assistant at Pep Stores from 2018 to 2019. After that, I became an Education Assistant at Nomathemba Public School for a 6-month contract which ended on the 31st of May 2020.
In September 2020, I worked in the Road Marking Department of the Stutterheim Traffic Department for an 11-month contract. I also worked as a one-day Voting officer at an IEC voting center in Stutterheim during the government elections on the 4th of November 2021 and recently worked as a Marker's Assistant in December 2022.
