• I, Malegasa Solomon Mmola Iam an expert in Accident Reconstruction, Accident Analysis, Cause Analysis, Interpretation of the Law relating to traffic accidents and Senior loss adjuster/Vehicle Accident assessor with over 12 years specialist experience in traffic accident reconstruction including the analysis of speed trends, accident rates, correlation between speed and accidents.
• I have been responsible for Traffic Engineering Assessments for the application to various insurance companies throughout Southern Africa, including Australia where I am currently employed, my duties include review of vehicle accident damages complaints against insurance and draft an expert and unbiased report to be used in the courts in Australia, where my employer is appointed by (CDPP) commonwealth prosecuting authority and Australian Competition and Consumer Commission(ACCC) . Have been involved in the development, setup and maintenance of Auto and General insurance off-shore Australian motor assessing department.
• I have testified as an expert in traffic accident reconstruction in the High Courts, District Courts, Magistrate Courts, CCMA hearings all over South Arica.
• I have been involved in various insurance companies in South Africa as an expert in Accident Reconstruction for assessment committee (Panel of experts).
• Coaching of Traffic Accident Reconstruction and Cause Analysis to my juniors and external stakeholders such as local attorneys.
• I have been responsible for the redrafting of the Technical Committee on Speed Prosecution (TCSP) Guidelines.
• I also assisted in the drafting of the CCTV standards for the use of CCTV/Cell phone footage for successful prosecution in a court of law.
• I am currently employed as a senior at one of the major Traffic Accident Reconstruction company in Australia.
