I have worked at a consulting company (Matogen AI) from November 2020 to August of this year. My experience mainly consists of analysing large datasets and visualising the results thereof. I seek to establish myself in a permanent capacity in the role of a Data Scientist.

I am always interested in analysing big datasets to find hidden connections and insights that can then be used to drive innovation. I have a keen eye for detail, and use that to full effect when working with data. I am also passionate about helping people, and will use my skillset to its fullest extent to do so.

While my experience has been varied, here is a summary of my accomplishments:

• Helped to develop a Machine Learning model for recognising and counting moths to aid in pest control for local farmers.
• Used Roboflow to annotate images in order to train the model, and exported the annotation data to a Google Colab script containing the Machine Learning model.
• Internal Support: set up the system for training new employees using a Moodle-hosted website, as well as overseeing the entry of new employees.
• Did preliminary analytical work for a local vineyard to address concerns over produce’s readiness to export, especially in terms of pesticide residue.

As someone with an Honours degree in Applied Mathematics (with minors in Physics and Statistics), I have a keen eye for detail, and like to see how things connect to make a greater whole. I also have a great capacity for remembering details, which I can utilise in a career that is so rich in detail as the one I seek to advance in.
