Steve Newbould

I am a publisher, graphic designer, author, and photographer who specialises in producing visual tourism marketing products for both print and digital media. I also have a very keen interest in tourism & travel and am passionate about the outdoors and nature and the protection of our precious natural resources. With over 40 years of experience in design, advertising and publishing as well as working for myself for 30 years I have the experience to take on both big and small projects.

Over the years I have adapted the business to combine the creative side of my occupation with my passion for African travel, tourism and the protection of conservation areas. My outstanding strength is not only my ability to visualise creative ideas but to fully implement practical solutions for them.

Started my own design and publishing company specialising in tourism marketing, below-the-line advertising, and eventually publishing. Whilst running it I have also authored and published, amongst other titles, my own book on South Africa which has now become a prescribed book for institutions teaching SA tourism. I design, photograph and oversee the editing and research that may be needed on many of our projects.

Built up the design and editorial team from inception and managed a team of designers and writers. Personally researched new projects and was the photo journalist. Due to bad financial management the company went bankrupt, however I was asked to stay to the very end and wrap up the last projects. After this I took the opportunity to start up on my own.
