I have been working in the fashion industry for 7 years. I have worked in manufacturing and now work in retail gaining extensive experience in fashion design, supplier liaison and quality assurance. I have a strong grasp of the creative process of designing a garment, a keen eye for detail and deep understanding of colour theory.
I pride myself with having great interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and supplier and am a motivated team player. I am proficient in Microsoft Office as well as Adobe Illustrator.
Design ranges according to the brand footprint including
Managing sample distribution to sales reps, clients and for marketing shoots.
Liaising withsuppliers for production of apparel including:
Designing garments by following customer briefs
Feeding customers with newness in terms of new fabrics, new designs and future trends
Worked closely with an in-house patternmaking and sample team
Liaised with in-house and customer buying teams
Attended client fit meetings off-site 2-3 times a week.
QA on samples from 1st Fit through to BPS for in-house brands.
Assisted with QA for various departments including Casual Ladieswear and Activewear for Woolworths.
