Graduate Geologist (BTech Geology, NQF Level 7) with field experience in geotechnical site investigations, groundwater level monitoring and aquifer characterisation gained at the Council for Geoscience (CGS), under the mentorship of Pr.Sci.Nat. professionals. Formally examined Hydrogeology coursework (NDip/BTech) covers groundwater flow, aquifer characterisation, slug/pumping test methods and environmental isotope applications. Engineering Geologist (Geotechnical Residency) - Council for Geoscience (CGS) - Pretoria

• Acted as technical respondent for 15+ dolomite risk enquiries from municipal and private sector clients, assessing site suitability per SANS 1936 and SANS 633 frameworks, using the CGS Dolomite GIS Database to identify karst features across Gauteng, Limpopo and Northern Cape.
• Performed chip and borehole logging per SANS 633:2012 across 8 boreholes drilled to depths of up to 100 m using rotary percussion methods, and monitored groundwater levels using a dip meter per SANS 1936-1:2012.
• Participated in 24+ near-surface investigations, performing soil profiling (MCCSSO) and identifying dispersive, expansive and collapsible soils, delivering site-specific mitigation recommendations.
• Performed AIV, Flakiness Index and Relative Density tests per ASTM and BS standards.
• Produced geological maps, borehole logs, cross-sections and groundwater level maps using ArcGIS, dotPLOT and Surfer, contributing to geotechnical reports with engineering recommendations for municipal and government clients.
• Participated in pre-fieldwork community engagement meetings alongside mentors, liaising with residents and municipal representatives and facilitating the hiring of local community members to support field operations.
