I have 23 years in retail, 19 years as a Receiving Manager at Pick n Pay. Duties were all receiving duties and Frontline management. I worked nightshift where I assumed the responsibilities of an floor manager.
Assisting with ordering, ensuring that the shop floor was fully packed, all cashiers floats are bagged and sealed. All cash was put away in drop safes. All perishable stock is safely and neatly packed and all backup fridges are closed.
As I had the store keys on nightshift I was trained to be safely aware.
