Thomas Maluleka is an experienced professional with a strong background in segment management, operational excellence, product development, relationship management, people management, and technical capability. Create and manage the VAPs portfolio. Grow the income generated from the Value-added products and drive a larger contribution of the non interest revenue in the Vehicle and Asset finance portfolio. Manage service providers and the 3rd parties provides enabling a seamless management of the portfolio.

• Develop and manage new and existing value-added product fit for the market
• Manage the VAPS portfolio from product development right through the collections
• Become an SME on all insurance related matters for VAF

Snr Operations Manager: Business, Corporate and Commercial Banking segment - Standard Bank (SBSA)

This entailed the overseeing of the structured finance portfolio, managing the corporate book with primary focus on Barloworld and Hyster, managing the Aviation books and ensuring the portfolio performed as intended and where intervention was required address and highlight with relevant authorities. Building capacity in the area to take in more work from Corporates, automate manual work, managing of the operations budget, provide timely and accurate reporting and mostly contribute to the overall business strategy and business development.

• Created and streamlined processes to allocate payments received from the corporate clients
• Automated processes which took over 8 minutes to execute to just under 5 minutes

Snr Manager: VAF Business partner Interactions/Relationship Management - Standard Bank (SBSA)

Responsibility of the role entails managing the VAF relationships with the operations areas. This included the monthly reporting to the Exco of the performance of the portfolio, representing Ops in Exco forums, represent VAF in all VAF related forums (CRR, Natis, Fleet, Credit and Compliance). Managing the VAF transfer expenses and ensuring operations costs are minimised.

Ensuring the operations goals are aligned with those of Group VAF. Ensuring the goal committed to by Ops are achieved and any deviations to the goals are managed.

• Enabled transparency and synergies across VAF business and VAF operations by creating standardized reporting structures between the two areas
