As Senior Stores Officer (Head of Stores)

• Maintains an inventory of all items in stock, item received and issued and inspects storage facilities to ensure that materials are properly stored and that physical stock tally with stock card balance
• Distribution of materials to all petty stores and users in an economical manner
• Approves RVS for payment for goods that have been currently received at stores.
• Reviews stock levels regularly and takes replenishment action in order to minimize handling costs, working costs, working capital tied up in stocks and work disruption due to non-availability of materials, spares and equipment.
• Ensures that material requisitions received from user department are recorded, batched, scrutinized for accuracy and approved by authorized officers.
• Carries out reconciliation of stores ledger to ensure that all transactions of the month have been recorded.
• Designs and implements the most suitable stores ware house layouts taking into consideration materials to be stored and materials handling equipment available to ease storage and retrieval.
• Carries out the job training of subordinates in all aspects of stock control and storekeeping and ensure retention of properly trained personnel.
• Prepares various reports highlighting stock position, issues, receipts, stock transfers and obsolete items.
• Approves Stock Recoupment forms required for replenishment of stocked 
• Informs superior on all obsolete and/or slow and fast moving materials in order to institute appropriate action.
• Supervises the receiving and issuing of all materials at stores and ensures that records on both Bin Cards and computer system are properly and accurately updated.
• Liaises with Procurement Department in ordering of critical materials so that production is not disrupted.
• Supervises subordinates to ensure that work is carried out according to laid down procedures.

• Currently studying Bachelor of Business administration
• 2005-2006: Advanced Professional Training in International Marketing at the Cologne University of Business and Applied science, Germany.
• 2005-2005: Advanced Certificate in International Business studies at the University of Cologne, Germany
• 2005-2005: Certificate in Psychosocial Counseling at Kara Counseling
• 2001-2002: Advanced Certificate in Purchasing and Supply Management at the University of Zambia
• 2001-2001: Certificate in Purchasing and Supply Management at the University of Zambia
• 1998-1999: Diploma in Stores Management and Stock Control at CPM college of UK
