Tinyiko Muthimba

My name is Tinyiko Muthimba. I am a graduate from the University of Pretoria, where I obtained a BCom (Law) degree as well as an LLB degree with distinction.

2021 marks an inflection point in my life as a person in the legal field. Though the first three years of my tertiary academic career were spectacularly unremarkable, I managed to turn things around in the last two. This drastic shift is evidenced by my academic record, which hints at an innate ability which I believe lies within me – the ability to change. While I do not regret my underperformance in the first three years, I am immensely proud of the results I have managed to produce towards the end of my studies. I am constantly trying to improve myself, and this commitment to improvement would make me a valuable addition to your firm.

I am better than I was five years ago, and five years ago I was better than I was five years prior. I am excited to see who I will be five years from now. I have a story to tell, and I would be honoured to have your firm be a part of it.

I have worked at the University of Pretoria Law Clinic, where my duties involved but were not limited to: consulting with clients; presenting client files; drafting legal documents; and furthering the mandates of clients.
