I am an experienced and highly competent company secretariat, corporate governance, risk and compliance specialist. I hold a Diploma Iuris from UNISA, Diploma: Corporate Law from the University of Johannesburg as well as various certificates in corporate governance, risk management and PFMA (budgeting, compliance and financial reporting).

I have worked in the public service for over 20 years, with more than 10 years served at management and senior management level. I am adept at strategy development, performance planning, management and reporting as well as policy development. I am a great communicator, both orally and in writing, at all levels of organisational hierarchy.

During my employment in various entities within the public sector, I have liaised with various Ministers and Parliamentary Portfolio Committees, often serving as the primary contact between the Executive Authority, Parliament and my employer. I have also written extensive speeches for Chairpersons of Boards and Ministers, whether for presentation in Parliament, public engagement forums or as Accounting Authority Statements or Forewords in annual performance plans and annual reports. In most instances, those had been used with very little to no change at all.

Throughout the course of my employment, I have introduced and developed from scratch, a number of policies and checklists, as well as electronic systems to facilitate efficient performance and delivery. Meaningful stakeholder engagement and ethical conduct are my core principles, which drive how I achieve excellence in all that I do.
