I am a businessman and entrepreneur, and I currently own and operate Black Excellence Merchandise. I manage the sales and supply of hoodies, tees, and golf shirts, handle bulk V-neck jersey orders for preschools, and run a perfume business focused on quality and customer service. Usher at The Potters House Christian Fellowship Church (2024 – Present)
An usher in the church plays a vital role in hospitality and order during service. The responsibility is to warmly welcome congregants and visitors, guide them to available seating, distribute programs or bulletins, and assist with the smooth flow of the service, including offerings and communion. An usher must be attentive, respectful, and discreet, while also supporting safety and protocol by knowing exits and assisting during emergencies.
The role requires a servant heart, strong communication skills, punctuality, a neat and presentable appearance, and the ability to work as part of a team with a calm and welcoming spirit. Ultimately, a church usher helps create an atmosphere of reverence, order, and care so that everyone can focus on worship.
