My name is Tracy Qwabe. I am a Promax gold winning editor with 12 years experience in the industry. Please find attached my cv and link to my showreel for the online editors position. I am an astute, versatile and confident creative with extensive experience in both pre and post production as well as management skills. Having these abilities has aided me in my previous positions as an HOD of post production and as a Creative Channel Head.

My objective is to work in an ever changing environment where I will be stretched and challenged daily and where my problem-solving and analytical abilities can be utilised.

I have been privileged enough to work with the best of the best production companies who have been in this industry for decades. Working in these companies has taught me to stay one step ahead with regards to industry trends , as you are only as good as your last idea. My background as promo producer has assisted me in acquiring skills like editing, copywriting, graphic design, directing and management.

Furthermore I am able to anticipate what the audience is yearning for, thus I have managed to aid service providers in bridging the gap between them and their audience; bringing in more revenue for the company .

Naturally working as HOD, I have a team that requires me to motivate and encourage them, which I have a natural flair for. Furthermore I have learnt the value of maintaining good client relationships and relationships at all levels of production.

My duties include offlining and onlining edits for Madumane Live as well as Konka Live. I also assisted junior editors with promos, QC’ed their offlines and ensured that we kept to the quality integrity of the Channel O brand.

My duties include pitching campaigns and concepts to clients for the fiscal. Furthermore, my duties include conceptualising, scriptwriting, editing, directing voice over artists and sound engineers.

Creative Channel Head, Birthmark

[6 January 2020- 1 June 2020]

My duties include being the Creative Channel Head for all Mzansi Magic channels. I also pitched campaigns and concepts to clients for the fiscal. I also negotiated budgets for more cutting-edge campaigns. Furthermore, I'd oversee the Promo Producer’s concepts, scriptwriting, editing, graphic design and final quality controlling of all promos before delivering to Mzansi Magic.

I worked on shows like The Morning Show, The Man Cave, Real Talk: With Anele and Real Talk: With Azania. My duties include scheduling inserts for the editors, editing, graphic designing, troubleshooting technical issues, final quality control of all inserts and managing post-production.
