My name is Tshepo Seomane.
I'm looking for a new opportunity and challenges to my career. The experience i have acquired are but not limited to, I have started my career at SANDF where i saved 2.4
years leaning disciplining, Maintenance at the ship and workshop as an assistant in engineering department. Then joined City of Cape Town for 2.6years as an electrical apprenticeship contract, that is where i became a qualified artisan being exposed in maintenance and breakdowns, also learned about low voltage, medium voltage, high voltage, transformers, switching, switch gears/ circuit breakers, MCC, distribution board,
cable jointing, under and overhead cables etc. After completed my apprenticeship program i then joined Chevron refinery under Improchem as a subcontractor. I joined
Improchem as a maintenance electrician for a year as i was on year contract. At improchem i was responsible for water treatment plant as well as chemical plant. Involve in breakdown and maintenance on equipment such as, Flow meters, DAFs, dosing pumps, Dams, pumps, motors, MCC, soft stater, etc. Then i joined PepsiCo (Simba) that is where I'm currently at as a senior artisan and I'm on my 6th year with Simba. I joined
Simba as a shift artisan then got promoted to senior shift artisan after 2 years. My responsibilities at Simba are but not limited to running my own shift consist of 6 guys,
attending breakdown and conducting maintenance, running and standing inspection,
utility checks. I gained the knowledge and experience of working on equipment such as,
Drives and soft starters, Motors, gearboxes and pumps, Conveyors/belts, Programmable logic control, Sensors, Safety switches, Ovens, Fryers, Heat-exchangers, Palletizing,
Robots, Wrappers, Bag-makers, MCCs, Generators, Boilers and Compressors.
