I am a permanent Sasol employee. I am currently having a level 4(NQF) in chemical process operation, Safety officer qualification (samtrec). In addition to my duties, I am reliable, responsible; able to make decisions efficiently that will benefit the environment I am placed in.

I am also versatile and willing to learn new things. I take each circumstance as a challenge yet to be overcome. My duties on the plant are day to day operation of the plant .Fault finding on process deviation and implementation.

Compliance with SHERQ requirements as per legislation, plant inspection and sample taking. Maintain good housekeeping. Preparing the equipment for maintenance. Defect reporting to the relevant department, assisting team member on the root cause analysis along the process, Monitor and assisting member.

Ensure that all tasks are done safely and on time. Operating the plant inside the control room and on the field, I’m able to collect data as alarm history on the dcs or panel system, perform plant commissioning after trip and do troubleshooting, Do the corrective actions according to the specific plant sop’s .Start-up and shut-down of the plant inside and outside the control room. Control plant upset and brings plant to normal operation, do necessary adjustment and calculation to reach production target.

Blending and loading the product. Adhere to safety issues.

It will be my pleasure if my request could be taken into consideration 

• Taking shift from the previous outside operator and do plant inspection
• Taking schedule samples and do house keeping
• Taking gas test continuously on the plant
• Preparing equipment for maintenance (positive isolation) and tagging
• Reporting defects to my line manager or supervisor
• Assist team member on the root cause analysis along the process
• Ensure all task are done safely and the permit to work has been signed off
• Commission and de-commission the plant according to the procedures
• Filling up the log sheet and record the readings
• Being able to respond when the plant is upset (trouble shooting) 
• Adhere to all safety procedures
