Ueshitile Shekupe

I have a variety of experiences with many different roles in music teaching, composition, performance, choreography, and film production with over 40 years of experience.

I am passionate about teaching musical instruments, theory, composition, African dance, choreography, and film.

I am creative, resilient, and self-disciplined with strong confidence and good communication skills.

I worked as a lecturer at the College of the Arts in Namibia and worked for 23 years. During my time as a lecturer, I established an African performing arts curriculum.

My educational background includes

1. A diploma in Ethnomusicology at the Zimbabwe College of Music, Harare in collaboration with the University of Indiana, as well as a certificate where I gained a solid foundation in music theory, composition, performance techniques, and choreography and instruments (electric and acoustic guitar, keyboard, etc.).
2. A bachelor's degree in media from AFDA in South Africa, Johannesburg.
