My name is Vandré.
As far as my memory serves me I've been working in the electrical industry as my step father is an electrician I started learning about it a very young age.
There Is still little to no better feeling than, flipping the switch on a new installation and seeing everything coming to life.

Physical inspections were carried out of sites. Risk assessment done on site.
Fault finding.
Repairs where required.
I was responsible to check D/B boards. Ensure all connections were tightened and all wiring correct.
This was done on single and three phase installations.
I was responsible for total site. Chasing, piping and wiring of installation according to drawings.
I was also responsible for fitment of all plugs, lights and light switches.
Geyser point and stove points.
Airconditioning points and water pump points.
Fitment of distribution boards. Wiring of certain boards.
Liaison with main builder or contractor.
All relevant cable work: Testing, Laying and Joints where required
All above cable trays and ladders installation & everything pertaining to those.
Wiring of all D/B boards and Starters and motors.
Testing such installation and phase rotation
Pre commission of such installations
Responsible for all relevant information to comply on a COC certificate.
Report to Management and assist with total commissioning and COC.
Connection of various starters and motors: - Star Delta, DOL starters.
Connection of resistor and soft start panels and motors.
Panel fault finding with instrumentation, Repairs there off.
Commissioning new prewired panels, Testing thereof.
In January 2017 I was awarded the position of site foreman and project manager reporting to management direct.
I was responsible for all staff and vehicles.
I was required to inspect all above mentioned work of all relevant staff as well as training junior staff.
