Vanessa Pakkiri

I am Dr Vanessa Pakkiri and I am more than pleased to submit my application.

I believe that my comprehensive education, 25 years of clinical experience and constant desire to develop and expand myself, makes me a suitable candidate.

I graduated from The University Of the Witwatersrand in 1997. I completed my Internship and Community Service at Tembisa District Hospital which is currently regarded as a semi tertiary teaching hospital. There, I gained exceptional clinical experience and training by managing a wide array of conditions as well as garnering exceptional, hands-on experience performing a wide variety of minor and major surgical procedures.

My speciality currently is General Medical Practice as well as Integrative Medicine. My current scope of practice extends across both the Allopathic and Functional medical spectrum. My practice of medicine is also geared towards a more holistic healthcare model including alternative healthcare modalities.

My primary focus in the context of general medicine is the management of acute medical and surgical conditions but I also extend it further to incorporate Preventative Medicine as well as Regenerative Medicine. My field of special interest currently is Anti-Aging / Regenerative Medicine from a more cellular (regenerative), epigenetic, neuro-cognitive and psycho-social perspective.

My practice of medicine over the years has become more streamlined with the focus being on more patient-centric model. This approach to medicine has led me to explore many other avenues of science in an attempt to better understand the so-called Human Condition and its impact on the human body and ultimately the evolution of disease and how it can be better managed or prevented by medical science.
