Victoria Jacobs

I am Victoria, a dedicated Occupational Therapist with experience in both primary health care in the public health sector, and corporate health practice. I am motivated to constantly grow both personally and professionally and regard myself as being a collaborator, leader and team player with an overall helpful nature.

I am passionate about South Africa, people and social justice issues and thus dedicate my free time to community service and community based outreach projects that; promote mental health awareness, advocate for women's rights issues and other projects that seeks to restore dignity, economic liberation, freedom from the fear of gender based violence and that honors and recognizes the equal human rights of all South African citizens. I am a member of

Rotaract Atlantis, a chapter of the Rotary International - a global service organization, where I get to live out my passions of philanthropy with creativity.

I am a versatile individual with a willingness to learn, a diverse set of skills and am always ready for a new challenge.

After graduating with a BSc Occupational Therapy degree from the University of the Western Cape in Cape Town South Africa, I gained critical experience as a clinician at Dr Harry Surtie Hospital, a secondary referral hospital in the Northern Cape where I worked with a very adept MDT. Thereafter I entered the world of corporate medicine refining my case management skills as a disability claims assessor at Momentum Metropolitan Holdings Limited.

I've worked as a Social Media Manager for a small family owned CMT and online store, been a Clinical and Academic Supervisor of 4th year Occupational Therapy students and am currently working as a Case Manager for the Western Cape Department of Health.

At present I am working as a Case Manager at a district hospital in the Garden Route. Although I enjoy my job, I am looking for something that would be more of a challenge and that will provide more opportunities for career development.

I have a degree in BSc Occupational Therapy.

I started the pursuing my Masters in Occupational Therapy, but due to financial constraints I had to take a break from my studies.
