Responsible for carrying out service, maintenance, and repairs on a range of automotive vehicles.
- Inspecting damaged vehicles and assessing the extent of bodywork repairs required.
- Stripping and fitting panels and bodywork.
- Carrying out repairs and panel replacements on vehicle.
- Following all safety policies and procedures.
- Ensuring appropriate PPE is worn at all times.
- Applying filler and other materials to repair damaged areas.
- Completing all job documentation and paperwork accurately and on time.
- Undertaking welding operations such as MIG/MAG, spot welding and bonding in line with certified procedures.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
- Completing structural and non-structural repairs, including chassis alignment.
- Preparing vehicles for painting, including filling, sanding, and priming.
- Examining damaged or corroded vehicles, calculating their repair costs, and then formulating repair plans.
- Planning, organizing, and scheduling the workflow around a car shop or garage.
- Keeping accurate administrative records of all work carried out.
- Inspecting repaired vehicles to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
