Consultant - Financial Risk Management Quantitative Services division at KPMG (2005-07 – 2006-04)

Duties included valuations, research and development.

• Determination of an Emergence Period for ABSA's retail and wholesale portfolio necessitated by the merger between ABSA and Barclays. The emergence period is defined as the time lapse between a trigger event and a customer appearing on the watchlist.
• Performed a review/validation of Nedbank's Business Banking portfolio impairment model.
• Gap analysis of all credit processes for Qatar National Bank. Project was based in Qatar. All credit processes of the Qatar National Bank was documented, compared to best practice, and gaps identified where necessary.
• Part of the team involved in the construction of a retail scorecard for Investec Private Bank. Worked with colleagues from Frankfurt office on this project.
• Scorecard review for Ithala Bank.
