Stock Controller/ Forklift driver at Dairy Group (2022-03 – 2025-04)
Logistics Department
- Utilizing forklift to load and offload stock from and onto superlink and reefer trucks, and ensuring correct placement in storage areas.
- Utilizing forklift proficiency to improve warehouse operations and meet productivity targets.
- Operating forklift to organize stock shelves and making sure products are properly labelled with the correct description so that the stock can be easily located.
- Using forklift for stock rotation, picking and packing away of stock.
- Organizing the stock room by ensuring that all items are in their designated locations, tidy up shelves and making sure every product has an accessible barcode.
- Duties on stock count: assisting with stock take on a monthly basis, doing random cycle counts, daily stock on hand counts and as well as daily stock by date code counts on every shift so that I can be up to date with the stock movement.
- Doing daily stock rotation every morning to keep up with the inventory control as to what product dates need to move first.
- Operating computerized inventory system for stock tracking and reporting on excel sharepoint.
- Issuing stock for production and recording all requested stock on a requisition book to prevent over and under stock situations.
- Receiving stock from other distribution centre's, signing off their invoices after the stock has been checked and offloaded.
- Dispatching stock for other distribution centre's, making sure that the loaded stock corresponds correctly with the loading sheet and the invoice, before I let the receiver sign the invoice (driver).
- Maintaining a clean and organized working environment.
Drop temperature Controller at P.E Cold Storage (2020-02 – 2021-09)
- Sticking and monitoring temperature recording devices known as (temp-tales) to maintain a set temperature within a specific range.
- Utilizing scanners to scan barcode of the stock to track inventory levels.
- Utilizing scanners to count and improve efficiency in inventory control.
- Assisting with loading and offloading of stock from and onto superlink and reefer trucks.
- Picking and packing away of stock.
Cold-room Controller at Clover Dairy (2009-02 – 2014-10)
- Doing daily stock counts every morning to keep up to date to what is short or more and what product dates need to move fast.
- Doing stock rotation on a daily basis using FIFO system, to prevent short dated of stock inside the warehouse. Always making sure that older dates are always stacked in front of newer dates so that they can be easily seen and picked first.
- Counting and recording all stock to be loaded diligently and appropriately for transporting.
- Assisting with forklift operations: Loading and offloading from and onto reefer trucks, picking and packing away of stock.
- Offloading stock carefully, counting and recording all stock received, move the stock to its correct location.
- Checking the availability of inventory.
