I studied Environmental Management at the University of the Witwatersrand. I completed both my degree and Honours Degree in Environmental Management; I also completed short courses in ISO14001 EMS and Environmental Law for Managers.

I started my career in 2008 with Eskom until 2021, my last position held with Eskom was as a Senior Environmental Advisor. I was based at a Power Station for eleven (11) years. I specialised in the following:

1. Air Quality monitoring and reporting
2. Waste Management including Groundwater monitoring and reporting
3. Incident management, including incident reporting and investigation (SAP EHS)
4. ISO14001 Environmental Management System (EMS)
5. Biodiversity management
6. Water Management
7. Auditing and reviews
8. Environmental Training and Awareness
9. Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
