• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Laboratory in accordance with departmental goals and objectives
• Material management to ensure that reagent and supplies are acquired and in stock as needed
• Ensure that all laboratory procedures are followed
• Responsible for monitoring the maintenance and calibration of the equipment used in the laboratory to ensure that it is operating efficiently and providing accurate results
• Supervising staff according to company procedures and policies
• Chemical analysis of all incoming bulks finished goods and raw materials.
• Microbial testing of incoming raw materials, bulks, finished goods, water and environmental testing of the facility.
• Ensuring GLP compliance in the laboratory 
• Controlling deviations according to SOP’s. 
• Administration of all paperwork and organizing of logs & records
• Ensuring that laboratory equipment is maintained and calibrated.
• Daily verification of laboratory equipment
• Root Cause Analysis of non-conforming products
• Recording of results and releases on SAP
