Xolani Maqanda

I am a Police Office in the South African Police Services since year 2002 until currently. I am in the leadership role and managing subordinates, budget and resources. I have completed my tertiary studies with UNISA, Security Management Diploma [NQF 6] and currently doing my Advanced Security Diploma [NQF 7] with UNISA.

I have also completed my Security Grade [E, D, C, B & A] and Registered with Psira no: 3244435. I am a very quick learner, able to work in group and individually. I cope very well under pressure and very dedicated.

I am a sport person who trains on daily basis to keep fit and physical strong to deal with my daily duties.

I am working for South African Police Services since year 2002-09-27 and still working for SAPS. I started at SAPS from a rank of Constable doing investigation for the Detective Unit at a station level until 2009. I then join Crime Intelligence unit within Western Cape SAPS and doing investigation for Crime Intelligence in a cluster level, was also promoted to the Rank of Sergeant.

In year 2013 I was then promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer at the provincial office of Crime Intelligence in the Western Cape, my responsibility was a Group Commander/Team Leader and was leading crime project investigations and also managing group of investigators under my command. In year 2019 I was promoted to a rank of Captain at Security Intelligence, Covert Operations within Western Cape Crime Intelligence Unit. I am an Operational Commander and my responsibility is to manage subordinates, budget, resources and investigation projects.
