Yolo Phungwayo

I am sales person, a service provider, an entrepreneur and a mom. I have been in the health and beauty industry since 2010 and early in 2021 I took the leap of faith to start my own small business, using all the experience that I have acquired through the years.

In my previous post at Camelot Spa in Midrand I was the Spa manager, Spa receptionist and back up Therapist.

My role included: time sheet planning, daily and weekly revenue summaries, motivating the team, planning and executing team meetings, having one on one sessions, general organization, dealing with customers, setting targets, performing all treatments, reporting/liaising with the operations manager, coming up with promotions, staff recruitment, social media posts, stock purchases and sales. Through my position as Spa manager, I learnt better communication skills with a wide audience, customer service skills and business management skills, which I feel that these have been very useful skills within my own organization, and fortunately the beauty industry is forever evolving which means there is always room for growth and learning new skills.

In my free time I like to exercise, cook something new, read or learn new skills and these activities have helped me to become stronger physically and mentally which has always proven to be useful to my employers and my own personal growth in all the roles I play.
