I love researching new and exciting things, and I always love to learn and test my knowledge and understanding of things. I love researching and finding new resources and topics.

I work well with people but also work well by myself. I like to create a good environment with people so that they feel comfortable. I can be a very easy going person but also understand the importance of getting down and doing the work.

My goal is to become a Librarian/Archivist and hope to find a position that will allow me to gain experience in the profession while saving up and working my way to a full degree.

I worked in retail at a bookstore, which duties consisted of:

• Assisting customers in locating a book within our store or other branches. If unable to assist, due to out-of-print, it being a rarer book or smaller publishing, then I would help find other methods of getting the book.
• Assisting with opening and closing the store along with cash-ups
• Keeping the store inventory up to date on the system.
• Keeping the store and books neat and in order

Admin/receptionist at a law firm:

• Handling the calls coming into the business, typing out dictation and keeping diary dates.
• Running errands too and from court
• Filing and arching files, keeping contents in correct order and up to date.
• looking after original documents, keeping track of the documents and keeping them in a safe location

I have completed 1 year of a BA General which included subjects such as English, Journalism, and Sociology. I was unable to complete the degree due to financial reasons. I do wish to get a degree but at the moment I am trying to further my knowledge with free resources available.
