- Analyzing cable charts for cable selection
- Analyzing busbar charts for busbar selection
- Planning and designing the layout of components on panel chassis and doors
- Constructing Low Voltage (LV) electrical switchboards
- Mounting and installing electrical switchgear onto panel chassis and enclosures
- Performing electrical wiring of LV Main Circuits for: 220V, 400V, 525V
- Wiring Main Circuits with conductors ranging from 4mm² to 120mm² wires
- Wiring control circuits for: 24VDC, 110V, 220V and 400VAC
- Wiring of motor starters for Direct Online (DOL) and Star/Delta motors
- Wiring of PLC's (Siemens, Schneider, Phoenix, Allen Bradley)
- Construct and wire Distribution Boards for single and three-phase systems
- Participating in QC procedures for Motor Control Centres (MCC's) and other panels
- Performing electrical testing, including Continuity testing, Insulation resistance testing
- Engage with clients during Factory Acceptance Testing
- Perform Fault Finding on panels, buckets and DB's
- Wiring and performing basic setup for VSD and Soft Starter panels (Allen Bradley, WEG, Delta, ABB)
- Electrical Measuring Instruments and testing instruments
- Soft Soldering
- Hand Tools
- Making off and joining multicore and single core standard PVC armored cable
- Connect and test single and three-phase motor
