Grassroot Soccer (GRS) is an international NGO that uses the power of soccer and positive role models to educate youth and stop the spread of HIV/AIDS
- Implemented the soccer-based HIV prevention (SKILLZ) curriculum to children from the ages of 10-19, delivered within a structured and supervised 3-year period.
- Certified to implement all five of the GRS program
- Participated in multiple research studies. Helped to conduct pre/post tests and record data.
- Helped run and facilitate HIV Counseling and Testing tournaments in the community as well as Round Table events – bringing together private and public sector community members and role players to discuss the challenges that youth face within the community
