Ziyanda Mabuto holds Bachelor of Psychology from the University of the Western Cape. She is currently employed as a School Counsellor at Lathi-tha school of skills. As a School Counselor, I believe that the main focus of my work is on psychosocial support and psychological well-being. My approach is based on a deep understanding of psychoanalytic theory and theories to help individuals and families with issues such as stress, anxiety and depression develop a more well-rounded and self-confident self.
Counselling has also become increasingly important in helping to better understand the mental health challenges faced by many young people, particularly in the developing world.
Ziyanda Mabuto holds Bachelor of Psychology from the University of the Western Cape. She is currently employed as a School Counsellor at Lathi-tha school of skills. She previously worked at a counselor at the Perinatal Mental Health Project of the University of Cape Town.
Prior to that, she worked at the Trauma Centre of Survivors of Torture and Violence as a Project Manager. She also worked as an Intern on Phelo-Phepha Health Train. She is currently involved on the establishment of NPO called Women of worth (WOW) registered 2011, and also a board member of the organization.
