My time in the Tyre industry began in 2015 as a general worker, in a new branch that was being opened. As the branch grew, so did my role. I had to quickly learn in greater detail other facets that made up the business. By the end of that year I was ordering stock for the branch and despatching orders. And as time passed, more responsibilities were entrusted ie handling tec claims, and credit notes, managing the work flow of the warehouse etc.

I was granted a 2 year rugby contract by the Western Province Rugby Union – 2010 to end 2011 where after I was offered a 2 year contract by the EP Kings – 2012 to 2013. As a result of the 2 Unions setting extremely high standards, both on and off the field, I learnt about time management, punctuality and discipline as well as being respectful towards others, especially those senior to me. I believe that these lessons have greatly assisted me and resulted in me being a loyal and humble character with a solid work ethic.

After matriculating from the Grey High School in Port Elizabeth in 2009, I was granted a 2 year rugby contract by the Western Province Rugby Union – 2010 to end 2011. Having been part of a team environment, I have learnt about the importance of achieving set objectives and of how to deal with different personalities in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the team. In addition to this, one also learns to take orders with the least bit of offense and to take the lead unexpectedly, when necessary, often in times of high pressure.
