Develop resource plans, schedule preventive and corrective maintenance programs and evaluate operational outcomes. Ensure effective process control by monitoring effluent water quality, conducting sampling and performing analyses in the mini-Laboratory. Manage all relevant administrative and reporting requirements to support compliance and efficient operations.

Collaborate with management to ensure that all wastewater treatment process meet the standards prescribed by the South African National Standard (SANS) and enforce by the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS). Install, Maintain and Repair Sanitaryware Appliances.

• Engage with industrial effluent office at factory and proceed to the sampling point
• Prepare monthly schedules, calibrate instruments, log samples on Laboratory information Management System (LIMS)
• Schedule samples on data logger, liaise with factory representatives, inspect for compliance, take samples, perform required field tests and complete required records of sampling site
• Use GPS from the data logger to give the correct position where the sample should be taken
• Check at sampling point chamber that oil interceptor traps, holding tank and grease traps are in place and illegal effluent discharges such as solids and fats are not bypassing the system
