I have a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Arts in Criminology offered by the University of South Africa, Higher Certificate in Forensic Examination from the University of the Western Cape, and I am a Law Enforcement Officer. I’ve also completed number of courses offered by the South African Police Service including Fraud courses for Investigators, Detective Learning Programme (Resolving of Crimes), Cyber-crime Investigation course, financial Investigation, among others.
I worked as a detective in the South African Police Service for 9 years, investigating fraud related cases. I am currently employed as an Inspector for Law Enforcement unit of the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority, Pretoria Head Office with 3 years of experience. The regulation of the Security Industry, including Security businesses and Security Officers, as well as the Investigation into non-compliance by security service providers, are among my responsibilities.
My duties amongst other things is to supervise the assistant Inspectors and mentor intern students through their integrated program.
Throughout my career as a Law Enforcement Officer, I have demonstrated skills such as good interpersonal skills, communication skills, investigation skills, problem solving skills, accountability, and the ability to work independently and under pressure. I am familiar with a variety of statutes/legislations, including the Labour Relations Act, the Criminal Procedure Act, the Evidence Act, Administrative Law, Constitutional Law, International Law, and Criminal Law. I am able to testify in court and have been successful in securing convictions in Criminal and Tribunal cases.
I have 12 years of investigation experience in the Law Enforcement environment.
I have acquired a Bachelor of Laws degree, Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and a Higher Certificate in forensic Examination.
