Extensive experience forming new DOC companies, changing Ship’s class, flag & manager. And taking over vessels.
Preparing and proposing the OPEX budget to management and maintaining OPEX PI.
In contingencies/emergencies taking control to resolve it with class, flag administration, P&I and port authorities.
Technical management & operation of ships. Regular inspection of ships to assess the condition, seaworthiness and compliance with classification & statutory regulations requirements.
Reviewing the repair specs, planning of docking, guiding superintendents on maintaining drydocking cost and duration PI.
Environmental, Health & Safety, Navigational Safety, Operational, Security, Technical, PSC KPI,
Guiding Superintendents on monitoring & controlling the supply of spares/stores / lubes / paints & fuels ensuring the requirement is appropriate and within the allocated budget.
Guiding superintendents on monitoring & ensuring the ship's performance, fuel and lubes consumption to keep it within CP terms.
Guidance to superintendents in onboard troubleshooting and breakdown.
Coordination with the Class & Flag for Surveys and Audits, New take-over, flag, class, manager & owner change.
Reviewing the Superintendents plans on attending vessel for surveys, inspection, repairs, and docking.
Observe and implement the various protocols, and amendments from Flag, Class (IACS), IMO, MS Acts, & PSC.
Implementation of ship safety protocols, ISM, ISPS & MLC codes requirements on board. Monitoring plans and outcome of internal audit onboard.
Preparation of vessel for Surveys, Inspections, Audits & Vetting (SIRE, TMSA and CDI).
Managing Officers / Engineers / Crew of different nationalities.
Shortlisting, Interview & selection of ship staff. Briefing & Debriefing of key officers/engineers.
Marine Engineering: -- Marine engines, machinery & equipment operation and maintenance.
Maintains & Implements the company’s approved planned maintenance system (PMS) for the ship’s engine, machinery, and various Safety equipment. Proficient in material management and inventory control, responsible for forecasting and continuous inventory replenishment complying onboard PMS critical/operational requirements.
Implementation of the Company’s policies, standing orders & plans. Implement & motivate The Code of safe working practices to the onboard team.
ISO & EMS implementation in office & onboard and coordinating for annual / renewal audit & TMSA-3 compliance. Guidance and measures for energy efficiency and conservation.
Projects handled EGCS (Scrubber tower) and BWTS installation, renewal docking with 1200 MT steel renewal
