Every learner is a contributor, and every contributor is a learner"; my entire career path has revolved around this quote. As a facilitative trainer, I have found a success pathway through the DDE (Design-Deliver-Engagement) process. I have coached 1000+ MSME entrepreneurs and trained 2000+ academic professionals. This role sprung through my experiences in Education Technology, which accounts for 8+ years of my life.
My story begins with the launch of FWZ OnlineSpace website that first introduced 'Live Online Tutoring' to Sri Lanka back in 2012. A year later, it was re-branded as GLOBAL TUTOR with an angel investment. My first international travel coincided with my Graduation coupled with bringing business from the UK.
To level up the market expansion, we went for a merge with a BPM company. My first Global award for Studentpreneurship was awarded by EO GSEA in Washington DC in 2015. Establishing courses for auto-piloting the process were tested; and market expansions were trialed for Australia, Luxembourg, and the Middle East region thereafter for 10+ countries .
With the lack of an international base as a limitation, we established STUDY LA in Singapore. Successful partnerships were created with Skills Future and Microsoft Education. Low investments and limiting technology resulted in StudyLa’s closure with an expensive learning experience on going global.
Bankruptcy upon getting back to Sri Lanka, pushed me to gain two years of corporate experiences in the e-learning sector, voiding any action of entrepreneurship. Positively, 30million LKR worth EduTech products/services were sold under my leadership for the two companies.
CURVE UP was born, largely focusing on Learning and Development. This was mostly inspired through my role as a Local chair in Sri Lanka for EO GSEA to host the national awards. My journey of mentoring, coaching, and facilitative training began as volunteer experiences towards university students, and youth around the country for multiple requirements, leading to take the role of Global Judge for entrepreneurship awards and hackathons in multiple countries.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COACH The need for business development arose with my mentoring experiences, and I had to sharpen my network, knowledge, and skills to empower all my mentees, coachees, and trainees. This established the second arm of CurveUp as a Business Consultation organization, currently empowering rural MSMEs.
Entrepreneurship is all about giving everything you gained. Always open to GIVE and GAIN.
