- Awarded the Green Key Certificate by the Emirates Green Building Council, UAE, in recognition of the hotel’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
- Successfully maintained and renewed all regulatory and compliance certifications, including DCT Abu Dhabi, IHG Quality, HACCP, ADFCA, Department of Energy, and Civil Defense approvals.
- Achieved a 7% reduction in electricity consumption and 5% reduction in water consumption per occupied guestroom for the year 2025.
- Successfully completed AED 5 million in CAPEX projects, delivering multiple facility upgrades and improvements to the hotel’s MEP systems.
- Attained a high employee engagement score in the Employee Satisfaction Survey while maintaining low staff turnover.
Roles & Responsibilities: -
- Lead the Engineering Department as Head of Department, overseeing maintenance and repair of all MEP systems, guest rooms, Front of House, and Heart of House areas, ensuring asset preservation and delivering a defect-free guest experience at the iconic InterContinental Abu Dhabi and the ultra-luxury InterContinental Residences Abu Dhabi, while reporting directly to the Cluster General Manager.
- Develop, implement, and manage the Engineering operational budget and CAPEX plans, ensuring all hotel technical systems and equipment are maintained to the highest operational standards.
- Oversee energy management and optimization of MEP systems, monitoring performance and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and maximize equipment reliability.
- Lead and participate in project planning and execution, including design review, scope development, tendering, contractor selection, and project award. Coordinate closely with consultants and contractors to ensure timely delivery, quality workmanship, and compliance with approved specifications.
- Ensure full compliance with hotel policies and UAE technical and safety regulations, provide employee training, and maintain accurate documentation to support a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and owner’s assets.
Chief Engineer (Since December 2021 to March 2025)
Danat Jebal Dhanna Resort & Al Dhafra Beach Hotel Al Dhannah City, Abu Dhabi, UAE
(NCT&H Abu Dhabi Owned and Managed Hotel)
- Achieved electricity saving of 5%, 3% & 2% and 4%, 5% & 2% of water for the Year 2022, 2023 & 2024.
- Successfully completed intensive condition uplift project for Guestrooms and Public Area to meet the standards of DCT Abu Dhabi classification and maintain 5-Star rating for Danat Jebel Dhanna Resort, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
- Successfully completed the construction, snagging, de-snagging & authority approval of Swimming Pool for a Grand Size of 540 cubic meters capacity for Al Dhafra Beach Hotel.
- Successfully Implemented Covid-19 Guidelines & Certification of “GO SAFE” of Abu Dhabi Municipality, Tourism and Health Authority to run the hotel operation smoothly along with intense pressure of restricted and limited support of contractors and reduced manning mainly during lockdown period.

Novotel, Adagio Premium ApartHotel & Ibis Hotel Al Barsha Dubai, UAE
- Achieved 7% & 5% of electricity and 14% & 7% of water saving in the year 2020 & 2021 for Novotel, Adagio & Ibis Al Barsha Dubai.
- Successfully completed major refurbishment of landscape project as Green Wall to re-store the condition of natural plants while giving a fresh green look as signature and first green wall of UAE.
- Nurturing the Team is key to success, developed 4 Team Members to take the role of Assistant Chief Engineer and Engineering Supervisor by structured and consistent training plan, coaching and empowering.
Chief Engineer (June 2017 – December 2019)
The Chedi Al Bait Sharjah, UAE
- Successfully opened The Chedi Al Bait Sharjah by GHM (Leading Hotel of the World) all the way by supervising and coordinating with project team of consultant, contractors and sub-contractors for the quality execution and timely completion of complete hotel building and its complete MEP system with snagging and de-snagging.
- Received all required Certification and Permits from Civil Defense, Municipality and Tourism Authority with several meeting, arrangement and submission of all relevant and required documents to local authority.
- Prepared operational POMEC budget, recruitment of engineering team members, their training to the system and buildings with very successful of daily operation of post-handover of hotel building and its MEP system.
Chief Engineer (May 2012 – June 2017)

- Achieved 95% & 97% score in Employee Engagement Survey for the Engineering Department for the Year 2013 & 2016.
- Achieved 5%, 3%, 3% & 2% of electricity and 11%, 5%, 3% & 2% of water saving in the year 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016 and maintained years after.
- Received recognition award for very significant contribution at Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi in delivering the Intercontinental Hotel Group IHG 10/10 Winning Metrics in the year 2013 & 2014 consecutively.
- Received Corporate Heroes Award for Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi from Emirates Wildlife Society & WWF for great initiative, implementation and execution of action plan towards energy saving in the year 2013.
