Under Maintenance Operations Division, accountable for Avionics troubleshooting and servicing. Inspection and repairs include radar, radio, pulse, navigation, auto pilot, compass systems and weapon systems. Supervise/perform technical work on wires per manuals and MWO’s. Interprets schematic diagrams, engineering drawings, and charts of avionic/armament systems. Avionics equipment inspections and simulated testing. Adjust/repair/replace defective components and perform equipment calibrations.
Perform radio frequency adjustments. Advice on maintenance solutions. Remove, repair, inspect, install, and modify aircraft
Avionic systems. Requisite aircraft parts and maintain shop and bench stock for repair of aircraft avionics equipment. Initiates deficiency reports, maintenance analysis documents, technical data changes, and equipment records. Maintain aircraft electrical and navigational equipment in aircraft. Perform operational/ functional tests on electrical/armament systems, ensuring their serviceability. In dual role of Electrician, assisted in development of Black Hawk Weaponization Program.
