Duties and Responsibilities
- Running theory and practical sessions for the Undergraduate and diploma students of Pharmacy of topics relating to Organic chemistry, Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry,Inorganic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medicinal Chemistry.
- Examiner and evaluator of university theory and practical examinations. Student mentor, Preparation of question papers for the internal examinations and their evaluation
- Trained diploma and undergraduate students in organic and inorganic molecule synthesis, identification, various biochemical assays and qualitative analysis, assays of drug molecules
- Operating analytical equipments like FT-IR, UV-Visible, Colorimeter, pH meter, Viscometer, Melting Point Apparatus, working knowledge of HPTLC, HPLC
- Demonstration of quality control tests, analytical chemistry assays based on new and existing methodologies, operating analytical instrumentation.
- Establishing, and validating analytical testing methodology used to control raw materials, production intermediates, and final products.
- Demonstration of biochemical estimation of Blood glucose, Cholesterol, Protein, Creatinine by colorimetric methods
- Training wet chemical techniques such as separatory funnels, heavy metal analysis, distillation, and titrations.
- Chromatographic techniques- Column chromatography, Paper chromatography, Thin layer chromatography
- Preparation of solutions, reagents and buffers.
- Calibration and maintenance of analytical instruments as per schedule.
- Developed and written SOPs for best Laboratory practices to ensure adherence to GLP regulations.
- Documentation works for NBA and NAAC accreditation process
