"I am an experienced human resources professional with experience at all levels, across national and global sectors including Private Equity, Aviation, Creative Tech, and Health and Human services (disability and aged) sectors. I firmly advocate that fostering individual growth through employment directly impacts business performance."
With over 20 years of human resources experience across diverse sectors, including private equity, aviation, creative tech, and health services, I am confident in my ability to lead all human resources functions and contribute to the growth of the business. My extensive background in HR, combined with my proven history in managing teams including global recruitment, training and system development, aligns perfectly with the requirements of this role.
As a Board Member of The Creative Collective, I have guided the successful tech business with ongoing HR strategies to successfully improve attraction and retention, whilst helping design management responsibilities for roles such as developers, account managers, and system engineers.
In my most recent role as General Manager – People and Performance at Sunshine Coast and Coffs Harbour Airport, I have successfully led a team in designing and implementing strategies that supported acquisitions and mergers. Specifically, this included involvement in due diligence, discovery, and transition management milestones for the HR and Payroll functions whilst also being the project lead for other corporate transitions. During my time I also developed several frameworks, processes, systems, and measures in alignment to remuneration strategies such as Short- and Long-Term Incentives and Equity Share Offer Programs.
In addition to above, I also designed and implemented annual performance cycles via measured labour cost budgets, retention, and development pathways through complex share-holding structures and business entities. This experience has equipped me with the skills necessary to manage complex projects and ensure execution excellence, which will be invaluable in leading performance review cycles for this company. Specific examples of this included gated performance mechanisms to foster positive business performance and behavioural outcomes to drive results via leader-led relationship exercises complemented via role specific objectives and key results.
At Community Solutions Group, I managed the talent identification of internal leadership capability developing measures via leadership and board effectiveness surveys, national workshops, categorising high performance and high potential employees with varying supports such as coaching versus mentoring programs.
In a past life I also developed a corporate wellness management system (SaaS) that was purchased by a multi-national company. The system was designed to support workplace wellbeing in Australia using developers based in the United States of America whilst providing local wellbeing content specialists that included sports and TV celebrities.
As the Olympics are about to commence, I thought I should mention I was an elite athlete and national coach for the sport of water polo where I represented New Zealand in the Commonwealth Games in 2002 and attended multiple world championships. I attained a Bachelor of International Business whilst on scholarship at California State University Long Beach and an associate’s degree in liberal studies from West Valley College where I studied in tech capital of the world Silicon Valley. (during the dotcom boom)
I am interested to become a part of the team with a commitment to fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. I am enthusiastic about building productive relationships with peers, partners, and business leaders, and I am confident in my ability to lead the HR agenda through hard work during initial growth stages of performance.
I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how my skills and experiences align with the needs of the business and contribute to the success of your team.
