Thomas Wyaux

I'm half Belgian, half American with both extensive corporate and tutoring experience. My passion is teaching and I'm always keen on bridging cultural gaps, which are often overlooked in a traditional class setting. I am eager to focus more on my passion for teaching, mentoring and coaching in English for both teenagers and adults.

I'm also fond of creating unique opportunities to facilitate learning and am very sensitive to my audience's learning processes, thereby allowing me to adapt my approach for best results. My Bachelor in Psychology provides me with the tools to complement my reading of someone's particular needs and create ideal conditions for optimal results. My M.Sc. in Business and my 15-year career in North America (incl. 10 years in NYC) provide me with the confidence and deep understanding of business best practices that I rely on when coaching adults in corporate English.

Last but not least, I want to make sure my students enjoy learning English – it has to be fun.

I have an international background in project management and strategic fundraising with expertise in grant management, strategic planning, major donor fundraising and project implementation and monitoring. I hold a dual US and European nationality and have worked in both markets for leading non profits and for profit organizations.

I am responsible for setting up and managing full circle major donor fundraising program for WWF-Belgium, with proven success in securing transformational gifts from both private, foundational and governmental donor sources. I am a very effective networker with the capacity to exceed donor expectation.
