I have a consolidated working experience and a thorough knowledge of finite element method (FEM), structural CAE tools, loading conditions, failure mechanism, and engineering design, using common CAE tools and working in several fields. I have also a strong knowledge in finite volume method to realize computational fluid dynamic (CFD) analysis and turbulence modeling. In my workplace I am responsible for performing design analysis using CAE solvers, providing feedback about performance, and opportunities of improvement and optimization, proposing countermeasures, developing engineering designs solutions for complex problems.
I have a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with 6 years of consolidated experience in structural CAE in vehicles, oil and gas structures, industrial machines, and aptitude to understand engineering guidelines, laws and regulations for international markets and manufacturing techniques.
At present, I am building strong expertise in combustion, turbulence, and computational simulations through research initiative. My work involves the application of turbulence models, in particular large eddy simulations, coupled with the nuanced interplay of chemical kinetics.
I am competent with Hypermesh, ANSA, Nastran, Abaqus, Fluent and OpenFOAM. I also have knowledge on CATIA, Solidworks and Siemen's NX, among other standard tools. Through my career I have been using Matlab, Octave and Python for minor analysis and C++ for programming, in particular for manufactured solution in OpenFOAM.
My skills include team working aptitude, communication skills, enthusiasm, ability to handle difficult situations and pro-activity. I am proficient in English, Portuguese and French, with minor capabilities in German and Japanese.
